PETYA HOMEO CLINIC

The most frequently asked questions related to homeopathy and homeopathic treatment.

Who am I?

Hello!
My name is Petya Ikonomova. As a professional in classical homeopathy consulting and treatment, and based on my years of experience, I have collected answers to the most frequently asked questions from my clients. They are related to consultation, treatment processes, remedies, and more.

👉 Remember: the best and most effective approach to restoring health is individual consultation and monitoring by a qualified professional like me. You are unique, and so is the manifestation of your condition.

What does holistic mean?

The term comes from the word “whole”. Homeopathy looks at and treats the whole person — body, mind, emotions, and psyche together.

What does alternative mean?

Anything that is not conventional medicine. A different way. Another option.

What is homeopathic treatment?

During your initial consultation (case taking) I get to know you, your complaints, and your reactions, as well as aspects of your personal life as needed.

  • After the consultation, I conduct an analysis — this may take hours or days. Usually, your prescription is ready within 48 hours.

  • I prescribe a homeopathic remedy and/or Schuessler salts or Bach flower essence, with clear instructions.

  • Follow-up consultations: every 4–6 weeks (sometimes 3–5 weeks for chronic conditions).

  • Example: a 4-year-old child with chronic cough and blocked nose needed 6 months of active follow-ups until fully recovered.

Can homeopathy stop me from getting sick?

Not exactly. The goal is to increase your immunity and resistance. You may still get sick, but you will recover faster and be more resilient.

Do you have something to boost immunity?

  • Yes: Homeopathic treatment itself strengthens your overall resilience.

  • No: There are no “immunostimulating drugs” in homeopathy.

Can you give me something for a headache / cough / stomach ache?

No one-size-fits-all remedies exist. There are over 500 possible remedies for headaches alone. That’s why I do not prescribe by text message — I need a individual consultation with you to determine the right solution.

What about detox?

The word detox is often misused. Whether you need it or not is strictly individual and requires a consultation.
👉 I do not practice detox as a universal methodology (including vaccine “detox”).

I read on the internet that…

Be careful. Internet advice is often misleading and leads to symptomatic treatment (not based on homeopathic principles). Only a trained professional can prescribe properly. It is best to let me know about self-prescribing.

Does homeopathy work slowly?

It depends on:

  • Your overall health

  • Duration of illness

  • Suppression levels

  • Other treatments

Remedies can act fast or gradually. Each person’s response is unique.

Will I get worse at first?

Sometimes there may be a mild, short aggravation (slight worsening of symptoms for a few hours). This is a healing reaction. In many cases, it doesn’t happen at all.

Can I combine homeopathy with other treatments?

  • Yes, it works well alongside conventional medicine.

  • Not recommended to combine with other energy therapies (like acupuncture) unless the practitioner is trained in both.

Can I take paracetamol (or other medication)?

  •  Yes.

  • But frequent use of painkillers can interfere with the healing process. Always let me know what conventional medicines you are taking.

Is homeopathy safe for pregnancy?

Yes, it is gentle and safe for both pregnant women and newborns.

Can I drive while on homeopathic remedies?

Yes. Remedies have no side effects.

Is homeopathy just placebo?

That is an opinion some people hold. My clients’ results speak differently.

What can be treated with homeopathy?

  • Physical complain ( chronic, acute)

  • Psychological conditions (stress, anxiety, fears, depression)

  • Emotional imbalance.

👉 Homeopathy is not a cure-all, but it can greatly support your recovery from the stress that you experience.

How long will my treatment last?

Strictly individual, depending on:

  • Duration of illness

  • Degree of suppression

  • Type of treatment you’ve had

  • Other influencing factors

Do you treat diagnoses (e.g., migraine, heart disease)?

No, I treat the person, not the diagnosis.
Example: a patient with frequent headaches improved when we discovered and treated the underlying cause — a past head injury.

Another example: a post-heart-attack client recovered faster after supportive homeopathy helped reduce stress and panic.

Final note

There will always be more questions, and that is normal. I hope this FAQ is helpful. During your consultation, there will always be enough time to ask anything important to you.
