A young lady, aged 13+, visited me online in the presence of her mother. The main complaint and concern of the mother is an almost daily watery bowel movement. Sometimes more than once a day. It alternates with normal bowel movements, but is more often watery and explosive (the child says that she sometimes cannot control it). The smell is stronger than usual. The child regularly complains of spasmodic pain and loud rumbling. She has been burping a lot lately. This condition has been present for about a month.
The young lady shared that she is very upset at school. The boys call her all sorts of names and this upsets her. They tease her and are rude to her. She showed her sensitivity during the consultation and shared (her mother confirmed with a nod) that she is very moody. “One day I am calm, and the next I am very angry. One moment it’s one way, the next it’s another.”
Her friend is jealous that she has other friends. This annoys her.
As is clear, the child is emotionally upset, and her stomach is upset too. The stomach is our second brain. Our emotional brain. What is above is below, and vice versa.
After the first dose, the child reports:
– “I feel better.”
– “Where?”
– “I just feel calmer. I’m not so tense.”
Her presence and voice are relaxed.
Three days after taking the appropriate homeopathic remedy, changes occur in:
– Emotions: the child is more cheerful.
– Eating: she regains her appetite.
– Thirst: she usually drinks a lot of water, but stomach complaints reduce her thirst. The changes are that her natural thirst is restored.
– Her stomach is calm, she burps less.
– Belching: they haven’t heard any recently.
– Bowel movements – normalised.
Remember that as a holistic specialist with a primary focus on classical homeopathy, I always address the whole person in their problem. We look for and address the cause. The symptoms disappear naturally on their own. Children also experience stress, which should not be underestimated.
